our version of imprint fossils

Today we learned that there are different kids of fossils; there are body, trace, and imprint fossils. When a plant or animal is buried under layers of sediment, minerals can turn their body parts into rock to create a body fossil, or leave an imprint if it disintegrates. We used objects found in nature to make our own version of an imprint fossil!
